She started crying.<\/p>\n
The therapist later told me I was allowed to have boundaries.<\/p>\n
That I didn’t have to forgive someone simply because they were my parent.<\/p>\n
I needed to hear that.<\/p>\n
Because everyone kept telling me:<\/p>\n

He told the judge he didn’t want to be forced to call Ron anything.<\/p>\n
He wanted to see Mom.<\/p>\n
He just didn’t want to live inside her new relationship.<\/p>\n

The visitation schedule changed.<\/p>\n
My brother still had contact with Mom, but the forced overnight visits stopped temporarily while family therapy continued.<\/p>\n

For once, she didn’t pressure me.<\/p>\n

Not because a judge ordered it.<\/p>\n
