I smiled and handed him the keys.<\/p>\n
\u201cGive me a few minutes. I need to check something.\u201d<\/p>\n
He nodded and walked outside.<\/p>\n
I immediately called the police.<\/p>\n
Then I gave them the VIN.<\/p>\n
There was a long silence on the other end.<\/p>\n

The customer tried to start the engine.<\/p>\n
They stopped him before he could leave.<\/p>\n
When they checked the VIN, the truth became undeniable.<\/p>\n
The truck belonged to Donna.<\/p>\n
